Highlights of the trip:  Trip within the Himalayas on a motor bike, sounds interesting right! This trip is designed for bike lovers and travellers seeking some real adventure while enjoying the culture and beauty of Himalayan foothills. Drive through one of world’s highest highway, explore off beaten- tracks, witness spectacular scenarios, encounter wildlife, drive through the cold desert region of Ladakh and all in a safe and secure environment.

Detailed Itinerary:

Days 1-2 Delhi -

Namaste! Welcome to India.
You can arrive at any time on day 1 as there are no activities planned until the important welcome meeting at as per your itinerary. Your tour leader (incase of group) / Glorious India Tours representative (for FIT) would have a meeting with you and discuss the itinerary in detail.  

Chaotic Delhi is awash with historical sites, museums and bazaars. Afternoon some practice time on your respective motorcycle, Enfield 350 / 500cc. Later evening briefing on the tour on complete trip.

Days 3 Chandigarh -

Post early breakfast depart for Chandigarh by Motor Bike to experience a different a part. Chandigarh is a uniorn territory of India, that serves as the capital of two states,Punjab and Haryana. The name Chandigarh translates as "The Fort of Chandi". The name was coined from an ancient temple called Chandi Mandir, devoted to the Hindu Goddess Chandi, present in the city's vicinity. It is occasionally referred to as The City Beautiful.

Arrive and Evening drive around Chandigarh visit Rock Temple, Shukna Lake and Local Markets. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Days 4 - 5 Chandigarh – Kullu – Manali -

Early morning depart for Manali by Motor Bike via Mandi-Kullu. Manali in the Beas River valley, is an important hill station in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh,India, near the northern end of the Kullu Valley.

 En route stop in Bilaspur for lunch.

Continue drive to Kullu - famous for its apple orchards, beautiful women, wooden temples, folk music and dance. Arrive Kullu and stop for tea/coffee at hotel at Naggar-the 16th century castle. Continue drive to Manali and arrive and check in to hotel.

Next morning free to explore the city as well as to set your Bikes ready for the spectacular Trans-Himalayan mountain Bike covering a total distance of 484 kms.

The high altitude road beyond the Great Himalaya range, on the edge of the Tibetan plateau, connects the densely fertile Lahaul Valley to stark barren region of Ladakh.

Days 6 Manali – Keylong -

Post breakfast depart for Keylong via Rohtang pass.

Arrive Keylong and check-in to hotel. Keylong, capital of Lahaul and Spiti and the only town between Manali and Leh..Overnight in the hotel.

Days 7 Keylong – Sarchu -

Breakfast and some time free to walk around Keylong. Later ride to Jispa - Darcha and reach the top of the gorge & head straight to Himmatnagar Cantonment. It is again an unpaved stretch of the Patseo & ZinZing Bar hairpins bends, as one gets closer to Suraj Tal & then ahead to Baralacha La (approx 4883m above sea level). Later descend down to Bharatpur and enter Sarchu.

Arrive and transfer to Tents for Overnight stay Fixed Tents.

Days 8 Sarchu – Leh -

Post early breakfast depart for Leh en route cross over the low lying road in the stream and ascend uphill again the height of Lachungla pass (5060m) and then drive downhill till the base of bridge before Pang (4630m). Ensure to cross over Pang before 1200noon as after traffic is not allowed. Proceed further to Leh, the saddle of Buddhist Culture.

Days 9 Leh – Khardungla Pass – Nurba Valley -

Early morning ride to the worlds highest motorable road: Khardung La. Stand at a height at 18,380 (5602m) feet En route enjoy unbelievable but true spectacular views of the snow covered Himalayas. Photo stop in order to capture the moment and then later  ride down into the beautiful Nubra Valley.

Nubra Valley is about 150 km north of Leh, the capital town of Ladakh,India. Local scholars say that its original name was Ldumra (the valley of flowers). The Shyok River meets the Nubra or Siachan River to form a large valley that separates the Ladakh and the Karakoram Ranges. Here you would stay at a Camp

Days 10 Nurba Valley – Leh -

After breakfast depart for Leh, arrive and transfer to Hotel.

Motorbikes to hand over to the Mechanic to be transported back to Delhi.

Later day free to unwind and for leisure

Days 11 Leh – Pangong Lake -

Early morning depart for Pangong Lake via Chang La Pass.

Pangong Tso (or Pangong Lake; Tso: Ladakhi for lake) is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m (14,270 ft). It is 134 km (83 mi) long and extends from India to China.

Arrive and transfer to fixed tents for Overnight stay Fixed tents

Days 12 Pangong Lake – Leh -

Post breakfast depart for Leh. Arrive and check-in to hotel

Day free for explore on own around Leh visiting Shey and Thiksey.

Overnight stay at Hotel 

Days 13 Leh – Delhi -

After breakfast check out and in time transfer to Airport to board flight for Delhi.
Assistance upon arrival and afternoon enjoy orientation tour of Old and New Delhi
in Private Car and Escort. Visit Raj Ghat, India Gate and Surrounding Govt. Buildings

Days 14 Delhi –Depart-

Post breakfast at Hotel, in time transfer to Airport to board flight for onward destination.
